History:Winnie The Pooh? Ah, yes, the cute cuddly bear we watched on video as kids. Nope. Oh, you mean the origional stories by A.A.Milne? Nope. Ok, what are you on about? I'm on about the REAL Winnie The Pooh!
In 1914 there was a guy called Harry Coleburn from a town called Winnipeg and this guy fought for the Canadian Army. Now, in the beginning of WW1 Harry was called over to England to fight in the war and on his way he stopped ata little train station. And at this train station he me a hunter. Anyway, he bought a small black bear off of this hunter, and brought the little bear to England with him. This little bear became the mascot for Harry's regiment and they named the bear Winnie after Winnipeg (clever huh?) Anyway, Harry was called over to France and he left the bear at London Zoo where he became very very popular.
A young lad called Christopher Robin was a frequent visitor to the Zoo and grew very fond of Winnie. Now, Christopher had been given a stuffed bear named Edward for his 1st Birthday, but now he had seen this real live bear, he decided to re-name the bear Winnie. Pooh came from a swan Christopher had named whilst on holiday with his family a while earlier. And so it was - Winnie The Pooh, inspiration for the well known and loved Pooh stories by A.A.Milne, illustrated of course by E.H.Shepard.

Eeyore: Poor old Eeyore. Nothing ever goes right for him, and he is frequently loosing his tail. But he never complains, he just carries on, munching his way threw a thistle patch, with not a care in the world. Here are some memorable Eeyore quotes:
